Songs

emerging for Oracle 2002

as themes and dreams emerge, so, too, have songs begun surfacing for Oracle 2002.

Standing like a tree
With my roots dug down
My branches wide and open
Come down the Rain
Come down the Sun
Come down the fruit
To the heart that is open
To be standing like a tree

Ancestor Song

I will remember you,
Will you remember me?
Don't let your light pass us by,
Bless us with your memories.

from Ann Maier

to be a Walking Star
I hear the paryers you made for me

to be a Walking Star
I feel the Love you sent with me
and I'll will hold it all
I've been sent to Earth
to be a Walking star
I'll walk my Light across tis Earth
and be a WalkingStar

We've been sent to Earth
to be Walking Stars
We hear the prayers you made for Us
and we will pray for all

Lizzard Dreams The World into Being

I dream the world at peace.
I dream the world as one.
With every breath I dream the world at peace.
I dream the world as one.
I invite all beings everywhere,
Each with their precious shard of this energy to join me.

We dream the world at peace.
We dream the world as one.
Together, with every breath
we breathe the dream into being.

So is it now in the dreamtime.
The world is at peace.
The world is one.

A Poem from
Lyn Ehrnstein

The following three songs were given from the Spirits to Susan Gilliland in the weeks following Sept 11, 2001 while Susan was ‘questing’ with a small group of women who practice BearMedicine. The activities during this period (Sept 28–Oct 9th) involved connecting more deeply with the Ancestors and, within this Circle of BearSisters, assisting in the crossing over of people who died in the World Trade Center. Susan shared and taught the Circle these songs. Along with other revelations from the Old Ones, we became aware that
he Loving Ancestors of this Land (and from all Lands) are desiring for us to sing them from their Caves, their places ‘within’ the Earth and to sing them to the Sun. They are seeking for us to listen to their teachings, spread their wisdom, and, together, sing them forth. We need them now–they desire more connection with us. As we focus on “tending, mending, and weaving’ our fragmented world, connecting with, calling upon, and honoring the Ancestors is a primary activity and source of healing. (Carol Proudfoot-Edgar)

Ancestor Song–given in the weeks following September 11, 2001

Sing us to the sky,
Songs spread far and wide.

Sing us to the earth,
Songs of joy and birth.

Sing us to the sea,
Songs so we can be.

Sing us to the sand,
Songs for every land.

Sing us to the moon,
Songs of every tune.

Sing us to the sun,
We have just begun.

Open wide your hearts,
Feel the darkness part.

Hold us in your hands,
Sing loudly as you can.

We who came before,
Will open up the door.

Gaze at oceans blue,
We’ll stand right next to you.

We rise from caverns dark,
To help you light the spark.

We hold your hands in ours,
In these your darkest hours.

Susan Gilliland, song gifted from the Spirits, Blacktail Ranch, Wolf Creek,
Sept., 2001
(Susan: “In this song the ancestors are offering us their help but also asking for us to remember them.”)

Song from the Singing Rock
Where is the dancing sun?
Where are the whispering winds?
Where are the chirping birds?
Where are the mournful words?
Do you hear our call?
Can you say our names?
Will you send us home?
Can you feel our pain?
Help us all to heal
Help us mend the wounds
Help us sing our songs
Help us find our way.
Do you hear our call?
Can you say our names?
Will you send us home?

Can you feel our pain? (repeat chorus one more time)

(Susan: “This song and the next one are Ancestor Laments. These are from the spirits who are wanting to cross over but who are somehow in darkness. Later I was stunned to realize that I was given this song at the ‘singing rock’ before we went into the Cave—I had no idea of the events that would unfold in the Cave or what we would be asked to do. Yet the Spirits gave me a Song for the work to be done. The next song was the one that would ‘sing them out of the Cave, help them cross out of the Cave’ and so was I (we) sang them forth into the Light, onto the Earth, out of the dark, into the Sun.”

Going Home Song

There is a place on earth I knew,
A calm and sheltering land.
I need to feel the breezes that blew
And hold the wind in my hand.
Take me home, take me home.
Take me so I can see.
Take me home, take me home.
Take me where I long to be.
I’ll meet my love as in the past.
He’ll hold me to his breast.
We’ll ride the plain on horse so fast,
And sleep when we need rest.
Take me home, take me home.

Take me so I can see.
Take me home, take me home.
Take me where I long to be.
We’ll tell our tales of history,
And sing of times gone by.
We’ll honor the great mystery,
And dance around the fire.
Take me home, take me home.
Take me so I can see.
Take me home, take me home.
Take me where I long to be.
I cannot find my way back there.
I cannot find that place.
The darkness fills the very air.
It’s gone without a trace.
Take me home, take me home.
Take me so I can see.
Take me home, take me home.
Take me where I long to be.
There is a place on earth you knew,
A calm and sheltering land.
You need to feel the breezes that blew,
and hold the wind in your hand.
We’ll take you home, take you home.
Take you so you can see.
We’ll take you home, take you home.
Take you where you long to be.
You’ll meet your love as in the past.
He’ll hold you to his breast.
You’ll ride the plain on horse so fast,
And sleep when you need rest.
We’ll take you home, take you home.
Take you so you can see.
We’ll take you home, take you home.
Take you where you long to be.
You’ll tell your tales of history,
And sing of times gone by.
You’ll honor the great mystery
And dance around the fire.
We’ll take you home, take you home.
Take you so you can see.
We’ll take you home, take you home.
Take you where you long to be.
You cannot find your way back there,
You cannot find that place.
The darkness fills the very air.
It’s gone without a trace.
We’ll take you home, take you home.
Take you so you can see.
We’ll take you home, take you home.
Take you where you long to be
